Ginny has a business background. She trained in a corporate training program to be a Grocery Buyer and worked in the Denver area in the grocery business for over 15 years. She and her husband, Mike, who works in the architecture and design field, moved to Texas just before their oldest daughter, Katie, was born.

Ginny started subbing for MDO just prior to the birth of her second daughter, Kelly. Although her career had taken a different path, Ginny had worked in the church nursery during high school and at one time had planned to major in elementary education. After working at MDO for a short period of time, she knew that she wanted to continue to work with children and not return to the corporate atmosphere. About that time Mike took a job in the Milwaukee area. Two years later they returned to Dallas and shortly after their return Lisa asked Ginny to step into the assistant position temporarily as the previous assistant had taken a leave of absence. The temporary position turned into a permanent one and Ginny has now been in this position for 11 years along with assisting Lisa with the church nursery.

Both of Ginny’s daughters work for MDO and the church nursery. Katie is 20 and attends Richland College and Kelly is a junior at Sachse High School where she is participating in the Clinical Rotation Program for Baylor Hospital in Garland. Ginny’s daughter, Katie, just recently presented her with her first grandchild, Jordan.
