Lisa comes well qualified for the position of MDO/Preschool Director with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood and certification to teach preschool through 8th grade.  She taught in the Dallas and Carrollton-Farmers Branch school districts for several years before semi-retiring to raise her 4 children.

In 1989, Lisa became the Director of the First Church Nursery and MDO programs.  Later, in 2002, she also became the Director of First Place Preschool.  Lisa and her husband, Terry, have been active members of First Church for over 25 years, where Lisa has taught numerous Sunday school classes, participated in the UMWIC activities and served on many committees.  Her second passion to serving her First Place families, is her love for music, which was evidenced by her past involvement in the choir for years.

Lisa’s husband, Terry, has been with Xerox for over 30 years.  He is currently working in National Account Sales. Their oldest daughter, Mabry, is married with 2 children, Ashton and Aiden.  Olivia, 21, is a senior attending SMU completing her athletic career as a nationally recognized soccer player.  Logan, 20, is a sophomore at UNT in Denton and Cami is a senior at Carrollton Christian Academy.
